Donabate

Corballis on the edge of Donabate are lands zoned for 2460 dwellings including a local services centre. The Donabate Local Area Plan 2006 required a Masterplan to be prepared. CCK are the lead consultants of the Masterplan Design Team. The key design philosophy for the Masterplan was to reference the unique sense of place alongside the Newbridge Demesne and Broadmeadow Estuary and to allow this new southern entry into Donabate to physically integrate into the existing village as much as possible. A distinct street hierarchy has been established by the Masterplan as well as number of different character areas. Landscaping and urban form together heavily influenced the three-dimensional layout of the lands because of the sloping nature of the site.
