BER Certification

Conroy Crowe Kelly can provide this service for new and existing dwellings. Our architects and architectural technologists have been professionally trained and accepted on to the national register. We have the appropriate indemnity insurance and have signed a code of conduct with SEI.

Our Assessors will carry out a survey and analysis of the dwelling. Based on this information the Assessor will calculate the BER for the dwelling using the Dwelling Energy Assessment Procedure (DEAP) software published by SEI. A BER certificate will be issued by the SEI on completion of the necessary work.

Along with the certificate, our Assessors will provide a standard Advisory Report which outlines methods to improve the BER of each home. For example; insulating the attic or replacing an old boiler can make an enormous improvement on a dwelling’s energy performance.

BER certificates for all dwellings will be required by law in 2009, and all new dwellings must comply with current Building Regulations whereby a rating of at least B2 is mandatory.
